As well as running and supporting key events throughout the year, the LGBT+ Partnership has recently been meeting for more informal, social occasions.
It can be daunting to visit bigger events, particular if you are looking for a chat and opportunity to socialise with those that have stories to tell and experiences to share.
The Sober Parrot based within the centre of Cheltenham is a perfect, cosy venue for this, with a great initiative to it's warming atmosphere!
Being supported by The Nelson Trust, the venue is just one of many in The Recovery Hub that helps with reforming, educating and training those that have particularly complex needs. This may be those that are recovering from an alcohol or drug-related addiction, may be suffering from mental health problems or need support with families, among many other circumstances.
The Sober Parrot is a relaxed venue, located 5 minutes walk from the town centre, with lots to offer - including a coffee and drinks menu, as well as lunch and food options. As well as this, they are looking to put on live music and social events as often as possible, creating a relaxing, alcohol-free environment for those looking for such an occasion.
